Finding A Low-Income School

Find a School in your Area that meets EnCorps Requirements

EnCorps supports teachers to teach in low-income schools. A low-income school has 40% or more students with free or reduced price lunch.

Find the status of a school at Ed-Data

o    Click on "School" 

o    Under Select Report click "Compare Schools"
o    Under County click the appropriate County
o    Scroll to "Compare..."
o    Under "Schools In", select the county
o    Under "Focus on...", select "% with free meals"
o    Change "Close to" to "Over"
o    Write "40" in the box next to "Over"
o    Click "Click to Compare"

*You will see a listing of the schools in your county that meant this criteria. This can give you a sense of what schools and districts that you should be looking at.
