APPLICATION PROCESS

The Application Process

Step One:
•    Make sure you are eligible for the EnCorps Teacher Program.
•    Submit an on-line application by the admissions deadline.
•    Register for and take the CBEST and CSET exams. 

•    Submit transcripts to EnCorps.

Step Two: 
Receive email indicating if you have been advanced to the next stage of the application process, the Preliminary Assessment Day.

Step Three:
Participate in a group Preliminary Assessment Day with an EnCorps Program Manager.

Step Four:
Receive email indicating if there is a fit with the EnCorps Teachers Program.

Step Five:
If accepted into the EnCorps program, secure your TB test and fingerprints immediately.

Step Six:

Begin Guest Teaching.

Step Seven:
Apply to an Intern Program at a Partner University or District. (Some school districts offer their own credentialing coursework that takes the place of University Intern coursework.)
Step Eight:

Interview with School Principals and secure an offer of employment (March-June).
Step Nine:

Once you have secured a teaching position and entrance to an Intern Program, complete all state requirements including fingerprinting clearance, TB clearance and the US Constitution requirement.
