Are You Ready To Teach?

       I have experience with kids and I know I want to teach.       

       I have always wanted to be a teacher and am considering entering the classroom.

       I would like to know more about working in Education.

       I would like to contribute to public Education, but not as a full-time teacher.

With Math and Science classrooms experiencing a looming shortage of teachers in the coming decade, we need talented individuals like you in public school classrooms to teach and inspire the next generation.

EnCorps Educators come from a diverse range of science and math industries and yet despite this diversity, they share a core commitment to serve as a teacher; a deep knowledge of math or science; and the ability to inject real world relevance into their teaching.

If you are a science, technology, engineering or math professional and are ready to become a math or science teacher in a low-income school, we’ll support you every step of the way. We help you explore teaching as a tutor and a guest teacher.  From there, we support you as you earn a teaching credential, and prepare for your own classroom through targeted training.  When you are ready to teach full-time, we help you make connections with local schools and principals as you seek a position in high-need public and charter schools.
